Something today that is more personal to me. When I was a teen, I went to a Christian summer camp. It changed my life. God showed me that He loved me and that I could do the impossible. I wonder what my life would be like had I not been able to attend those camps each year. I know that I also forged friendships that are still lasting to this day.
My own children have had the privilege of attending Christian summer camps. Mine were Baptist, and theirs were Nazarene and we are currently involved in the Christian Church. The denomination isn’t as important as Biblical truths. And I am so glad that we are able to (some years) literally scrape the money together or get partial scholarships. This year we are planning more ahead and sending 3 of our teens to camp.
As you can imagine, the cost of camp can be significant (espcially if there is just one person working or a single parent supporting the kids or if sending multiple kids.) The cost for teen camp through Wasilla Christian Church this year is $250. I know there are teens that are really wondering if they will be able to afford to go. I know it’s SO WORTH it and they will do fundraisers. I thought I’d get the word out and help them a bit.
If you are able to donate (in incredments of $50) to support/sponsor-a-teen for summer camp, I will send you one of my prints or one from a session that you did with me based on the amount of support. (See Below) I have scenic scriptures, scenery, mountains, rivers, animals, and such. Or I can get you the address of the church and the instructions (so you can get your print) to donate a check or cash directly to Wasilla Christian Church.
